El giro duro
I just wanted to post this as soon as i thought of it.

Every night i give some time for my pastime( ?????.. hehehe). I mean i just solve the cube.
I do this every night until one night I realized something. Something that I related to life. Something i even said to my troubled friend before. While you read this, you might think I'm so obsessed with cubing etc., but cubing has been and will always be part of my system, and most of all it's just my hobby. A competitive hobby that i loved from the very first day it was introduced to me. And most of all you might think I'm crazy. I just want to say this, I'm CRAZY!!. lol. This is just a realization and not a lecture. (^_^)

Anyways, here goes. Cubes pop, they even get broken, and most of all, they are always scrambled, pieces go out of place. To solve it you must return the piece back to its original place. You can solve it intuitively, analytically, and then there are solutions to completely solve the cube. Sometimes you get confused while solving the cube, you get lost, you go blank, etc. Once you get past these obstacles, you can be the fastest cuber out there.

Now this is how I related it to life. The problems we experience by cubing is also what we experience in life. We get confused, we get lost, we go blank, our life may be chaotic at times, and sometimes everything is just out of place. Why do we get/have these problems?. It is because its the people who scramble us, it's the people who makes our day a living hell, and most people will make things very hard for us to solve. And lastly It is US, Ourselves who scramble our own life, we sometimes, or most of the times, make things hard for us. We make our day worse by not doing the things we ought to do, the things which could help us make it through the day, the things which could make our life easy.

Then this guy spoils this post;
Pilosopo: hindi naman ako marunong mag rubik's eh, at sobrang hirap naman nyan.
bakalnapaa: may solutions naman, at may manual din. You need to learn it to know it, find the right combination to solve it.

Another reason why we find it hard to solve our problems is because we don't exert enough effort to find a way out. The answer is right in front of us and still we don't see it. We fail to recognize the basic.
These problems just keep on returning. On and on they come. Just like cubing, we scramble the cube after we have solved it, thus creating another problem. This is because its the balance of this life. We all know that this is what makes us all strong. Problems are the ones that improves us. This will also help us in recovering fast in solving these problems.

We can all find ways in solving our problems. Not just by relating the Rubik's cube to life. There are many elements in this earth where we can find inspiration and also help us realize "that something". We just need to make The Hard Turn (El Giro Duro).

Ayun lng.. hehehe..

bakalnapaa out........ (^_^)

PIQUE

Who is he?
His name is PIQUE( pronounced as PeeKay)
Whenever I see this guy in the morning when I wake up, It just makes my day complete for 1 hour before I go to school.
PIQUE is just one cute, huggable, kissable, lovable, and sweet pup.
Whenever I get out of the house he's there waiting for me, and escorts me to the gate.

Whenever I come home from school, he just comes running at you with all his cuteness and chubby effects he has to offer and welcomes me back home.

The cuteness you rarely see

I found my 2 cute dogs playing with each other and just shot some pics of them together.

Though life around us is harsh, stressful, demanding and too fast to handle, something out of the blue just pops up in your face and the "cuteness effect" just helps soothe those tense nerves and muscles in our body.

I hope you enjoy looking at these pics.

The Cebu Experience
THE CEBU EXPERIENCE

What will I see in Cebu? What awaits me when I arrive there? Is it a Beautiful place?. These were the questions that bugged me before leaving for Cebu.

Cebu had many malls-medium sized and super sized, a generous number of hotels, too many radio stations( approx. 26 FM stations), many huge universities, colleges, and high schools and a handful of restaurants.
Sad to say, we reside in a place where we have 2 medium sized shopping malls, 1 mall with 4 cinemas, 1 sports complex, 1 radio station(I only know 1), 5-6 restaurants, 1 University, 4-6 schools(Grade school to high school), and 1 non-functional hotel. nyahahaha!

Our main purpose in Cebu was to have our educational tour, Industrial tour to be exact. In short we would be visiting companies related to our field. In our case Engineering companies. That was the only itinerary that was set in our minds. But as student and youngsters, part and parcel of our life is adventure, pasyalan(tagalog), mag lagaw(illongo), malling, shopping and etc.(english).. LOL.. Anyways, that was our secondary itenerary.

WHAT MADE THE ADVENTURE FUN?

On the way to Cebu, I got aquainted with some of the guys and gals from the different engineering groups on the tour. I got to meet new friends from the engineering department.
Our late night excursions was fun too. We went out late at night( 9 pm ) and returned to the hotel early in the morning( 2-3 am ) which was beyond our curfew, which was set to 11 pm.. hehehe.

When we arrived at Cebu at past 9 in the morning of March 23, 2009, I felt I was in another place(obviously), and I saw it as a place like no other. The dialect barrier was not that hard to adapt to. In a few hours time I had learned how to understand and speak a little bit of Cebuano.
On the way to the hotel, we passed by their bridge(linking Mactan island to the mainland). It was the first ever bridge I have ever seen(in the Philippines). LOL. A superstructure in Cebu.

The buildings where we came from, had building only 4-5 stories high. It was shocking to hear that Cebu had buildings rising to upto 40 stories. nyahahaha. The tallest was the Crown Regency Hotel (40 stories).

Our objective was to visit Companies related to our courses, in our case, companies and review centers related to electronics engineering. We visited Dash Engineering, ABS-CBN Cebu, and NTC Cebu. We had the chance to monitor, observe and test Hands-On the equipments related to Electronics engineering.

THE END of my stay in Cebu
Before ending my short but memorable stay in Cebu, I took the chance to meet up with one of my "long time no see" friends from Oman who now resides in Cebu. Oman was a place where I grew up and made friends with the kids that became part of my life since my chilhood days in Oman. Her name was Mary Lizbeth Borillo. Although our meet up was short, seeing her after almost 8 years, will never be forgoten in the years to come.
